I took my parents to Sushi Kin while they were visiting from out of town, and we were all blown away. From the moment we sat down, Terry (our waiter) shared that they never freeze their fish to preserve its freshness and you can absolutely taste the difference. Chef Yong and Chef Ken put together a beautiful spread of sashimi, nigiri, and rolls that could easily rival some of the best sushi spots in big cities. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, and the staff, especially our waitress Suzanne, made us feel genuinely welcome the whole evening! We’ll definitely be coming back. Amazing food, friendly service, and it was nice running into another Korean person! ~ Min J

This place is simply GREAT! My first time in and I was treated exceptionally well and the food was beautifully prepared and very FRESH! I only had SUSHI but based on that I will be back for more! I don't write reviews at all but this place deserved one for sure. They went out of their way to make my visit enjoyable and they did just that! Disregard any past negative reviews, all places go through growing pains finding the right staff, training them and all of them learning to work together and bring the best product to the public. They did a wonderful job for my meal! Remember that for every great review they probably have ten more that don't write about their great experience! ~ Drew P

Julia is the bomb dot com!!!!!🫡 She took care of my family and I so VERY well! She was polite, well versed, professional, and quick as hell getting our order out to our table. I was pleased with the atmosphere also...but Julia made our night by being so charming and friendly! She was so empathetic to our situation with my children, and Julia was an absolute delight to be around that evening! Julia truly cheered up our situation and, even for the time spent there eating our meal, helped us to forget our woe's!! I was craving sushi that I had in Tokyo. I have been a regular at another sushi joint in town but it won’t satisfy this type of craving, which led me to Sushikin. I was seated right away and I opted for the sushi bar. Initially impressed by the menu, since no sushi place probably in an hour drive would have this extensive menu specifically for sushi or nigiri. To my surprise, they have OMAKASE! I am blown away! All of the dishes served by Chef Yong was amazing!!! The fish tasted so fresh, the uni was bursting in color, and you can truly taste the quality of their ingredients! I also noticed that the sushi rice they used was like the sushi I’ve had in Tokyo!! It was a truly remarkable experience. I would not be ashamed to recommend this to anyone. It is the best by a hundred miles than any place in Shreveport Bossier. No need to drive to Dallas! This will definitely be my go to sushi place from now on. ~ A B

I’m telling yall right now this is my favorite restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. I’ve travelled the world but this place feels like home to me. Great service and fish is ALWAYS FRESH. Nothing like Sushikin. Also the service is amazing they treat me like family. Everytime I come in I sit at the sushi bar and I swear this place will take care of you. This is one of the best restaurant experiences , that’s why I keep coming back every 2 weeks would be more but I travel an hour away just to eat here. OMG! I treated my husband to an Omakase dinner at SushiKin Grill & Sake Bar this evening for his birthday and it was one of the BEST culinary experiences I've ever had. Every bite was perfect - balanced bites, delicious flavor combinations and a knowledgeable Chef talking us through each course. Every bite melted in my mouth - every single morsel was DELICIOUS. Absolutely phenomenal! You do need to call ahead and make a reservation for the Omakase and it is $100 per person, but WELL WORTH IT! My husband said that was the best birthday dinner ever! This cozy restaurant has the most delightful atmosphere, as a light jazzy music plays overhead and the lights are dim. I’m here now, having already finished my lovely meal, a late lunch of veg tempura, avo-cucumber sushi, miso soup, and broccoli sprouts. Only recently did I discover this gem, so I still have a lot more on the menu to enjoy. Today, Suzanne served me. She seemed to take good care of all of us customers here in the place. It’s silly of me to say, but it’s hard to leave this relaxing place… maybe the music is hypnotizing me. Whatever it is, I know I’ll be back very soon. ~ M W

We eat here all the time and absolutely love it. The food, atmosphere, and Chef Terry set the bar and are nothing short of extraordinary. This was the first time we got to experience Omakase. From beginning to end, every dish was meticulously prepared, delicious, and compensated for our dietary restrictions. It’s a shame they there’s only 5 stars to give because it deserves 10!! We thought we loved this place before but the Omakase tonight brought our admiration to a whole new level. If you’re in search for a great sushi spot give them a try and ask for Terry! ~ Christina D

Revisited Sushikin after the new menu change. The Chef took the time to come to our table and he explained the new menu. The Chef also remembered us and what we order each time we have visited. The owner also came to our table and thanked us for returning. The waitress Kerah is an awesome waitress, she is always very courteous and knowledgeable of the menu. All of the Chefs (Satto, Alex, & Terry) are always very courteous and does an awesome job preparing our Sushi correctly!!! We always spend $100.00 plus at every visit, and it is always well WORTH IT!!! WE LOVE ❤️❤️SUSHIKIN💯🥰🥰😋😋 ~ mickey l

Been here several times. Wanted to share it is a clean restaurant (even air vents and window sills clean) and great ambiance. Today our waiter was Conner. He was superb!! I truly appreciated his honesty about several of the dishes, including one we were considering that he said “definitely is very raw fish tasting”. Conner seemed very familiar with the menu which I am grateful for. We did try a new flavor and some of great tasting stand byes. Conner will definitely be the waiter we ask for from here on out! ~ Annalee Y

Amazing experience, and customer service. Garlic butter Blue crab handroll Sweet and buttery taste with a hint of tangyness . 9.5/10 Maybe ask for no parsley on it. But it does bring a delicate taste. Melt in your mouth. Toro Nigiri Smooth and butter with a hint of freshness. The wasabi gives it just a kick of favor before settling you down in the sea. Kin handroll Absolutely amazing flavor profile. Uni all is amazing. But the quality differs alot, and it is nice to have a place with an Uni source that is delicious. ~ S N

Sushi Kin was such an amazing experience! The atmosphere was a great environment! The restaurant was so clean and felt fresh, and my server maddie did a great job! She was so sweet! The food was so amazing and the fish tasted fresh. The restaurant was not loud at all and allowed for amazing conversation. I really recommend the Lion King roll and the steak hibachi! The food is very affordable for the freshness and taste of it! The servers were really helpful. Overall it was an amazing experience and will definitely be back! ~ Maddie D

I came in to take advantage of the lunch menu today and they did not disappoint! My waitress, Kerah, was extremely pleasant and personable. For majority of my visit I was the only one sitting down to eat, so the atmosphere was peaceful to say the least. I ordered the Girlfriend Roll + Crispy Crab Roll** and had the Tuna & Mango handroll on the side. 10/10. I have no complaints 😭. Not to mention…all of that for less than $30. ** If this is not the name of the roll, it’s absolutely something similar lol! ~ Amyre M

Suzanne was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcome and well cared for. Her friendly attitude, attention to detail, and perfect timing made the entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount without ever being intrusive. Suzanne's professionalism and warm personality truly stood out. I’m from Longview and this place fell from heaven. First my daughter and I were wondering around Shreveport’s cuisine and l stumbled upon this lovely abode! To begin service was immaculate! Once I walked into the restaurant the ambiance was credible. We were directed to the sushi bar where though they were busy Amanda delivered menus and our drinks from the moment we sat. Then we were introduced to Blake! I had to accommodate my daughters pallet so she guided the service with her knowledge of the menus offering smiles while answering question. Completing our order taking by the way. Our sushi master Terry who was gracious, delightful, and kept my daughter engaged through this entire dinning experience introducing her to proteins to expand her pallet! Anyway here comes Suzanne in here with the kill smiling and stuff with delivery and prebussing of our plates on the sushi bar. Well, I was looking for Mexican lol but happy this place left very little room to disappoint from the ambiance to the kitchen! Thank you so much for engaging and being like no other! A very beautiful and relaxing atmosphere with gentle lighting and music makes this dinner experience feel laid back and a breathe of fresh air. The sushi bar experience watching them make rolls and other dishes right in front of you was unique and entertaining. The bubbly and friendly service made me and the rest of the party feel welcomed. Rolls came out fast and perfectly executed. Would absolutely return and absolutely recommend to sushi enjoyers. ~ Pierce G

I had an amazing experience at SushiKin, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Courtney! Her vibe matched the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly. She was attentive without being overbearing—I never had to look around for her because she was always there at just the right time. We are new to the area, and wanted to find a good sushi spot like the one we go to back home. This has always been hard to find somewhere that compares or tops it. SushiKin will now be our new favorite spot! Food was amazing, they have so many options for rolls with pictures on the menu which is an awesome touch. Yong was fantastic! Checking on us, and sushi and handrolls were perfection! My server Taishia seemed very unamused to be taking care of us, hardly checked on us, and was in the back for 20 minutes at the server station laughing and eating with her coworkers while we were trying to her refills, boxes, and the check! Will be back of course but this visit left us irritated with the lack of care from the server. ~ Adam K

Taisha has been our server multiple times, and everytime we have been excellently taken care of!!! She is kind, and we dont even have to ask our needs are always taken of before we ask. Awesome experience every single time!! We left our favorite Japanese restaurant in town that we have been eating at for years because the service and food are fantastic here!! What a hidden gem! This very well may be the best sushi that I have ever had (and I have had it at many high tier restaurants around the country). The quality of the ingredients and the preparation was simply magnificent and completely unexpected to come across here in Shreveport. We sat at the sushi bar and had a wonderful experience guided by Yong as he performed his magical work. This is a required stop if you find yourself in Shreveport! ~ Drake P

I had an amazing experience at this sushi restaurant. The food was excellent and I enjoyed every single thing I ordered. The waitress took great care of me and all of her recommendations were spot on. My favorite item was the fried cheesecake which was incredible. I also had sushi and the fried rice and both tasted really good. The ambience was decent and the overall visit was absolutely worth it. I will definitely be coming back. ~ C m

We’ve been yearning for good sushi & Sushikin delivers!!!! We sat at the sushi bar and got 3 drinks, salads, edamame, a “kinakase” which is an omakase type experience, and a roll. It was all wonderful, thoughtfully prepared, and fresh! And we got out of there for less than $90 which for a full course meal in Shreveport is rare these days. Our waitress was also so sweet and perfect mix of attentive & relaxed! We will be back! ~ allison d
